The product is based on silicone alkyd, which has the best UV resistance of all existing alkyd oils, and on Chinese tree oil, which has the best penetration and highest water resistance of all oils. Terrace glaze is produced with the absolute best and most modern technology, among other things modern nanotechnology to minimise colour changes.
Terrace glaze contains no tensides, which further reduces the risk of absorbing moisture. It also mitigates cracking, blue quenching and mould. The product is recommended for outdoor terraces/verandas, garden furnishings and furniture, and wherever else needing a transparent protection without building up a layer of paint. The oil's deep-penetrating properties make the product ideal on, for example, teak and other hard or fatty exotic timbers. Terrace glaze is also the best alternative for painting timber-built houses, when the avoidance of a surface that can crackle is desired.
Instructions for use:
The surface must be firm, dry and well-cleaned, steel-brushed and/or sanded. Loose, porous and disintegrating wood must be removed. Apply Terrace glaze with a brush, dipping or a rag, until the surface stops absorbing the glaze. After a few minutes any excess oil is wiped off with a rag or sponge. After drying the treatment is repeated if necessary. The Terrace glaze shall penetrate the substrate and not form a film on top. The high dry content factor means that the oil is NOT suitable as a primer for subsequent over-painting with paint.
NOTE! Risk for spontaneous combustion as the product contains dehydrating oils. Rags, cotton waste, etc used in combination with the product must be placed in water or burned after use.VOC limit values (Cat A/f): 700 g/l (2010). Product VOC: < 700 g/l.
